Per la quinta volta consecutiva lo scafo di Igor Simcic si aggiudica la Coppa d’Autunno

Trieste, 11 ottobre 2014 - Esimit Europa 2 di Igor Simcic vince per la quinta volta consecutiva la Barcolana, quest’anno alla 46esima edizione, fermando il cronometro alle 12.38 odierne. Sofferta e complicata dalla mancanza di vento, la regata è stata accorciata dalla Giuria, che verso le 12.00 ha disposto la riduzione del percorso con un cancello di arrivo volante alla boa numero 1. Segue sul podio illyteca, l’RC44 di Marino Quaiat (con Jaro Furlani al timone), autore di una encomiabile performance. In attesa di discutere eventuali proteste, l’ordine provvisorio di arrivo vede al terzo posto Jena No Borders Team, il maxi di Furio Benussi e Mitja Kosmina, tornato a Trieste dopo l’assenza della scorsa edizione, e al quarto il TuttaTrieste Tempus Fugit, armata da Marco Furlan, con Gabriele Benussi al timone.

For the fifth time in a row Igor Simcic’s yacht wins the Autumn Cup

Trieste, 11th October 2014 - Esimit Europa 2 of Igor Simcic wins the Barcolana for the fifth time in a row crossing the finish line of the 46th edition at 12.38 pm. Hard and complicated due to the lack of wind, the regatta was shortened by the Jury at 12.00 pm when it officially decided to do so by placing a floating gate at mark number 1. Illyteca came in second - the RC44 of Marino Quaiat (with Jaro Furlani at the helm) - with an incredible performance. While waiting to discuss any protests, the provisional ranking sees Jena No Borders Team third - the maxi yacht of Furio Benussi and Mitja Kosmina which made a comeback to Trieste after missing last year’s edition - and the fourth place goes to TuttaTrieste Tempus Fugit, skippered by Marco Furlan, with Gabriele Benussi at the helm.
